The northern municipality of Viana do Castelo shows its appreciation for Cadilhe & Santos’ contribution to the region by awarding us the title of Institution of Merit in January 2018, following a decision by a qualified majority vote.
Cadilhe & Santos is therefore among the institutions that have promoted the municipality and contributed to the development of the community. In this specific case, “for the relevant work in boosting the Vianense economy since 1987”, according to the diploma received.
«The awarding of Honorary Titles has the underlying intention of distinguishing natural or legal persons who, by virtue of their activity or action, have stood out remarkably in the most varied areas of society, for the benefit of the local, national or international community.»
As an integral part of the population, we can only demonstrate our pride and appreciation for this award and also for being part of a city with an exciting history, where culture does indeed spring up around every corner.
According to the criteria set out in the Mayor’s Regulations for the Award of Honorary Titles, “the awarding of medals or honorary insignia is based on the idea and intention of distinguishing natural or legal persons, national or foreign, who, by their activity or action, has remarkably distinguished themselves in the most varied areas of society, for the benefit of the local, national or international community”.
