Cadilhe & Santos is a family-owned company founded in 1982 in Viana do Castelo, the gem of Northern Portugal. We focus mainly on the manufacture of polyamide nets and monofilaments under our own brand, MonCad®.

Most of our production is exported (around 85%), mainly to Spain, France, Ireland, the UK, Norway, Italy, the USA, Canada, Chile, Morocco, Mauritania, Cape Verde, Angola, Namibia and South Africa, among others.

We produce the most advanced line of Polyamide and Copolyamide monofilament extrusions for use in a wide range of businesses. These include fishing, construction, aquaculture, farming, safety and security.
Collaboration with outside bodies
The launch of our FishFiberLigth phosphorescent pigment monofilament, in 2019, marked an era in the positioning and offer of our company. This monofilament led to a fishing line that emits light through phosphorescence. Designed using nanotechnology and advanced materials, has emerged as a solution to boost the environmental transformation of the industrial fishing sector, particularly in reducing marine pollution.
